The Professional Training for Challenge Course Instructors is a bootcamp like program from the Alliance that covers required documentation, standards, and regulations such as ACCT, equipment inspection, manufacturer information, and industry standards. It focuses on developing a curriculum tailored to the site, duration, and specific operations. Teaching techniques, learning styles, intervention, and rescue techniques are taught. The potential for accidents, safety of learners and instructors, and common issues are addressed. Assessment is done using standards and testing techniques, with an emphasis on specific outcomes.

Objectives

1. Train Challenge Course instructors in key aspects of required documentation, standards, and regulations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

2. Develop effective teaching skills in instructors, considering different learning styles and adaptive techniques, to provide quality training to participants.

3. Enhance instructors' ability to identify and manage intervention and rescue situations, as well as address common issues and effectively resolve them while maintaining high safety standards and evaluating participants according to established criteria.
