DESCRIPTION
This training is specifically designed for the periodic inspection of fall protection Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with the European Standard EN 365. Upon successful completion of the course, participants become Competent Persons qualified to perform periodic inspections of fall protection PPE from all manufacturers, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer in the product instructions for use.
GENERAL OBJETIVE
To train personnel in the technical, practical, and regulatory methodology required for conducting periodic inspections of fall protection PPE, ensuring operational safety, equipment traceability, and compliance with current international standards.
Specific Objetives
Understand the legal framework by analyzing the European and local regulations (EN 365) applicable to the inspection and maintenance of PPE.
Correctly identify and classify fall protection equipment and recognize product marking and labeling systems.
Apply maintenance criteria and carry out cleaning, storage, and repair protocols for fall protection equipment.
Manage traceability by implementing electronic and documented record-keeping systems that ensure historical control of inspected equipment.
Assess the condition of equipment and distinguish between equipment fit for service, equipment requiring repair, and equipment that must be permanently removed from service.
