DESCRIPTION

Head Rush Technologies will offer an exclusive technical workshop for professionals in the adventure park, zip line, and aerial course industries, focused on the operation, maintenance, and inspection of the zipSTOP braking system. This innovative equipment, a market leader for its magnetic braking technology and ability to provide smooth and safe decelerations, will be the centerpiece of an in-depth, hands-on learning session. This course is NOT in any way preparation for the Annual Service that must be performed on the devices, but it is a way to carry out preventive maintenance that will allow the magnetic brake to extend its lifespan and remain in safe operating condition.

During the workshop, the instructor will demonstrate and discuss the correct installation of Head Rush systems according to atmospheric, slope, and terrain considerations, among others. The instructor will also completely disassemble a zipSTOP, allowing participants to observe each of its internal components firsthand, understand its design, its operating principle, and how its parts interact to ensure optimal performance. Recommended procedures for daily, monthly, and annual inspections will be covered, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance guidelines aligned with factory specifications.

Attendees will also learn to identify signs of wear, interpret technical reports, and apply safety criteria to determine the brake’s fitness for use. This course is designed for technicians, operators, inspectors, and park managers who seek to expand their skills and ensure safer and more efficient operations, as well as for anyone considering the use of this type of brake in their parks. In thisworkshop, they will have the opportunity to engage directly with the experts.

By the end, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of the zipSTOP—from its internal mechanics, use, and operation, to the best practices for extending its service life and complying with international safety standards.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Understand the internal operation of the zipSTOP by closely observing its complete disassembly, identifying each component, its function, and its role within the magnetic braking system.

  2. Acquire technical skills in inspection and preventive maintenance by applying the procedures recommended by Head Rush Technologies for daily, monthly, and annual evaluations, including wear detection and the implementation of corrective actions.

  3. Strengthen diagnostic and decision-making abilities to determine the suitability of the zipSTOP for use, ensure operational safety, and optimize the equipment’s lifespan in adventure park and zip line environments.
